Education and Knowledge Mobilization (KM) and Youth Program

06/06/2019

In terms of the services offered to African, Caribbean, and Black-identifying (ACBi) and other marginalized communities, the Institute would engage in educational programing based on our research projects and Knowledge Mobilization (KM).

In addition, the program aimed at giving fellowship opportunity to African, Caribbean, and Black-identifying (ACBi) and other marginalized youth to obtain training and get coop or work experience in our projects and also have a one-to-one mentor-ship experience with seasoned Ontario and North America-based scholars for their self development is called the Youth Program. In addition, selected youth from this program will get the opportunity to do contract paid jobs (coop). Secondly, they will be linked to university and industry experts in Northern America, who will be their mentors. Thirdly, they will write pieces on our upcoming bi-annual journal and other media outlets, thereby fine-tuning their writing and presentation skills.

The plan is to have one fellow per each cluster and two mentors for each cluster, so that their network of the young fellows would be widened and the prospects of future opportunities are increased.

2024/2025 Program
